PowerTap Completes Portfolio of Products with Launch of C1 Chainring Power Meter
Pre-Order on September 7th for Customers in US
With much excitement, PowerTap announced the launch of their C1 chainring power meter. This launch completes the much anticipated PowerTap power portfolio and earns the Madison-based manufacturer the reputation as the first and only brand to offer multiple power platforms under one name.
PowerTap has solidified their role as the power meter industry leader with the announcement of the C1 chainring. With the release of the C1, the PowerTap team is thrilled to offer customers the ability to measure power via three key locations on the bike – all of which feature PowerTap accuracy. PowerTap is now the only power brand to offer this extensive portfolio of power products for cyclists. The C1 chainring is also a recipient of a 2015 Eurobike Award.
The initial release of their highly awaited C1 chainring cycling power meter will follow a phase-based launch plan. The PowerTap team's goal is to work very closely with the initial C1 consumers to ensure complete satisfaction, while increasing their ability to directly support those customers should questions arise.
"As with our previous launch we are introducing the C1 to the market in a very mindful way to ensure customer satisfaction," said PowerTap President, Jeff Frehner. "Our ability to connect with customers is essential with our first batch of C1 chainring. We are eager to get our consumers on the C1 and hear their feedback. From the hard work the PowerTap team has put into this product, we are expecting great results."
PowerTap is ready to begin shipping their first chainring-based power meter. In order to provide top notch customer satisfaction, PowerTap will be producing an initial batch of only 500 C1 chainring. At the time of launch, the C1 chainring power meter will only be available direct via powertap.com to US customers, and will be shipped on a first come, first serve basis. Availability internationally and at PowerTap preferred dealers will begin shortly after the initial product launch.
Pre-orders will begin September 7th at 8am CDT, with a first ship date of September 18th. C1 chainring availability during this first phase will be limited to USA.
